Ph.D. student ยท Brain Networks Lab ยท Computer Science and Engineering, Texas A&M University

I try to teach neural networks a few tricks from real neurons.

I am a Ph.D. student at Texas A&M University, advised by Yoonsuck Choe. My research sits where machine learning meets computational neuroscience, with a side interest in natural language processing. During my Ph.D., I have worked on (1) biologically inspired neural networks, (2) the evolution of prediction, and (3) an AI-driven smart floor-heating thermostat. Since February 2026 I have also been a Physical AI Ph.D. Fellow with Doosan Corporation.

Before Texas A&M, I studied computer science at the University of Bristol (B.Sc., First Class Honours), where I was advised by Rui Ponte Costa and Cian O'Donnell. I have also worked at Hyundai Motor Company, LG Uplus (previously LG Telecom), Samsung Life Insurance, Tilda Corp., and the Multimodal Language and Cognition Lab at Kyungpook National University.
